  • Megan Buckley | Ballet 314

    Megan Buckley Founding Company Member Megan Buckley, grew up in West County and graduated with Honors in Music from Marquette. She received formal dance training from Alexandra School of Ballet & Company/ honor company at Regional Dance America, earning multiple merit scholarships. She won 1st place at National Society of Arts & Letters-STL, furthered education at summer intensive workshops at ABT (NY, TX, AL), Kansas City Ballet under Todd Bolender scholarship, Joffrey (NY& Midwest), Nashville Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet and Glenda Brown’s Choreography Project. After graduating, Megan studied at Joffrey Ballet NY Trainee program, Nashville Ballet School under scholarship and then performed professionally with Milwaukee Ballet 2, Portland Ballet in Maine, Thodos Dance Chicago, Verb Ballets in Cleveland, Common Thread Contemporary Ballet, Collective Motion, Owen/Cox Dance Group in Kansas City, & as alum at Alexandra Ballet. She currently performs & choreographs for various productions in the STL area, and performs with Ballet 314 as a founding Resident Company Dancer. Favorite roles performed in her professional career include: “Sugar Plum Fairy”, “Clara”& “Snow Queen” in multiple productions of The Nutcracker across the country, choreography by Laura Alonso (of National Ballet of Cuba) as “Kitri” in Don Q ‘Grand Pas,’ Daniel Precup in Spartacus ‘Grand Pas,’ “Wendy Darling” in Peter Pan by Pamela Pribisco, and contemporary works by internationally recognized choreographers. She completed her 500 hour Comprehensive Core Dynamics Pilates Certification, and is passionate about educating the next (and current) generation of dancers as the owner of Studio Pointe Dance and Fitness. In her free time, Megan loves parks, traveling, any local foodie place & seeing live music! Return

  • Nathan Krueger | Ballet 314

    Nathan Krueger 3rd season with Ballet 314 Nathan Krueger (he/him) began dancing at the age of 6 at Pressor Preforming Arts Center in Mexico Missouri. As his family moved through Missouri his training continued through multiple other dance schools in the area including Premiere Dance Academy and Springfield Ballet. Before attending college he trained in Houston Texas at Uptown Dance Center further solidifying his love for dance and the creation of art. He decided to pursue Dance and attended Southeast Missouri State University and trained all four years in the BFA Dance Program led by Hilary Peterson. While attending SEMO he learned from many different teachers including Hilary Peterson, Philip Edgecombe, Alyssa Alger, Thomas Proctor, Ashley Tate and Arianna Russ. Return

  • Emily Low | Ballet 314

    Emily Low 2nd season with Ballet 314 Emily Low is a dancer from the St. Louis area and is in her first season with Ballet 314. She has been dancing since she was 2 years old and it has always been her passion. Throughout her training, Emily would spend her summers doing training intensives such as St. Louis Ballet, Big Muddy, Peridance Capezio Centre, and Treadfast Dance Co. Emily graduated from the Southeast Missouri State Dobbins Conservatory of Theatre of Dance with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Dance. While at school she trained under Hilary Peterson, Philip Edgecombe, Ashley Tate, Arianna Russ, Thomas Proctor, and Alyssa Alger. She also worked in residency with Emily Haussler, Mike Esperanza, and Joshua Blake Carter. She is trained in ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, and tap. She has performed with with Cape Specialty Entertainment as well. Emily is excited to continue her art with Ballet 314 and to continuing growing as an artist and a person with the company. Return

  • Eugenia Jones | Ballet 314

    Eugenia Jones Founding Company Member Eugenia Jones is a native to St. Louis and began her Ballet training with Dance Arts of St. Louis in her later teen years. She obtained her Bachelor of Art in Dance and Management from Ball State University in 2019. Post undergraduate Eugenia joined Ballet 314 as a Founding Company Dancer and Board Member. Eugenia’s passion to share Arts with underserved communities lead her to obtain her Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Leadership from Webster University in 2022. Eugenia currently serves as the Director of Before and Aftercare for Premier Charter School, Company Dancer and Board Member for Ballet 314, Ballet instructor for Pointe of Surrender Dance Studio, and an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. Eugenia’s passion for youth and the Arts drives her commitment to utilize her experiences, skills, and passions to create programming and spaces for youth the experience and express art. Return

  • Kendall Dietrich | Ballet 314

    Kendall Dietrich (Heuman) 5th season with Ballet 314 Originally from the Springfield Illinois area, Kendall grew up training at Dance Arts Studio, the Springfield Ballet Company, and performed in theatrical productions with the Springfield Municipal Opera. After Graduating high school in 2016, she moved to St. Louis to earn her BFA in Dance from Webster University. In the summer of 2018, she studied abroad in Geneva, Switzerland where she studied Ballet and European Contemporary dance. After graduating with departmental honors in 2020, Kendall took a year to train with the Big Muddy Dance Company's (now Known as Saint Louis Dance Theater) trainee program, where she danced in that season's productions including, Lemp Legends. Since 2021, Kendall has been a guest character artist with Saint Louis Ballet, featuring roles in Gen Horiuchi's The Nutcracker, Cinderella, and most recently, "Carabosse" in Sleeping Beauty. Kendall has been dancing with Ballet 314 since 2021 and has performed in many of our productions such as Fall Fete, Nutcracker and The 1904 World's Fair, Ragtime, Chocolat, and our educational programs. Outside of performing, she has a passion for teaching. Kendall is on faculty at Saint Louis Ballet School where she also coaches students for Youth American Grand Prix and is on the team of instructors for Vitality in Motion. Return

Follow the story of our “conductor” as we highlight the different sections of the orchestra through musical selections from classical ballet scores like Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, and Coppelia. Young audience members will witness just how many elements unite to make a story come to life on stage. Throughout the performance, audience members will participate in music and dance demonstrations, and be able to identify the 3 elements of every story (characters, setting, plot) and the 4 sections of an orchestra (woodwinds, percussion, strings, and brass).   • Abigail Hinrichs | Ballet 314

    Abigail (Abbie) Hinrichs Founding Company Member Abigail is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher native to St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance with a BFA and dual emphasis in ballet and modern dance. Abigail was inspired to not only perform professionally, but to dive deeper into the world of performance art and collaborate as much as she could. Abigail has been teaching dance and Pilates for all ages throughout the St. Louis area for over 8 years. She currently serves as the Studio Manager at Central Studio and is so grateful for the opportunity to help others discover mental and physical healing through movement. Abigail has the honor of dancing, performing, and participating in community outreach with Karlovsky & Company Dance, Collective Motion (Central Studio's resident non-profit), and Ballet 314. Return
