Abbie is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher native to St. Louis, Missouri. She earned her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance under the mentorship of Paula Weber, Gary Abbott, MaryPat Henry, Ronald Tice, DeeAnna Hiett, and Sabrina Madison-Cannon.

 

Abbie met her longtime partner and collaborator, Kalo Hoyle, at the Conservatory while he was earning his Music Composition degree. Their years in school inspired an excitement for experimental theater, music, and dance which set the stage for their creative partnership and first evening-length work, “To Some Transparent End” (2016).
